You have the right of access to information held by us, subject to certain exemptions, under various pieces of legislation, depending on the type of information.
 

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 was introduced to give you access to information held by Scottish public authorities, subject to certain conditions and exemptions.
 

We may hold personal information about you, and believe it is very important to treat personal information lawfully and correctly, and under the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) you have rights to be informed and to see what information is held about you.
 

The Environmental Information Regulations gives you the right to ask for information which 'relates to the environment' held by us, subject to certain exceptions.
