Community Risk Management
Integrated Risk Managment Planning
In August 2003, The Scottish Executive instructed each Fire Authority
to produce an Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP) as part of the modernisation agenda of the
Fire and Rescue Service.
-
Development of the Retained Duty System to provide an enhanced structure and career path
-
Introduction of specialist staff in key areas
-
Sustained improvements in the delivery of service
This is Highland & Islands Fire Board's 4th Integrated Risk Management (IRMP) Action Plan, and we believe the options for the projects contained within this document will contribute to improving the safety of our community, fire-fighters and our Service Delivery. The emphasis of the modern Fire and Rescue Service is on reducing the risk from fire and other emergencies. We are committed to providing a service that identifies, reduces and controls those risks and wherever possible preventing emergencies from happening in the first place.
If you have any queries about the Integrated Risk Management Plan, projects proposed as part of the Action Plan or would like copies of any documents, please telephone the IRMP Team on 01463 227000 or email irmp_coord@hifrs.org
