Antony Gardner - Personal Profile
Antony joined Dyfed Fire Brigade in 1990 and was stationed at Aberystwyth Fire Station. During this time he was an active member of the Lifeboat Crew and the UK Fire Service Overseas Search & Rescue Team.
In 1995 he transferred to Surrey Fire & Rescue Service and was stationed at Epsom Fire Station. Later that same year he was promoted to the rank of Leading Firefighter and was posted to the Fire Safety Department.
In 1996 he transferred as an instructor to the Training School in Reigate and in 1997 he was promoted to Sub Officer becoming the Eastern Division Training Officer.
From 1998 until 2001 Antony was the Watch Manager at Leatherhead Fire Station, followed by Godstone Fire Station.
In November 2001 he was promoted to Station Officer in the Human Resource Development Department at the Fire Service HQ.
In March 2002 Antony became the Station Manager of Walton-on-Thames Fire Station and co-ordinator of the service Water Rescue Team and a member of the Line Rescue Team.
In February 2004 Antony was promoted to the rank of Assistant Divisional Officer with the Highland & Islands Fire Brigade and is currently the District Officer responsible for Easter Ross & Cromarty.
His interests include: rugby, football, walking, music and fly fishing.
