Margaret Tuckwell - Personal Profile
My name is Margaret Tuckwell and I have been providing administrative support to the Highland and Islands Fire Brigade for the last 16 years.
I thoroughly enjoy my work and have made many friends in the Brigade, both civilian and uniformed and I shall be sorry when I retire in 4 year's time.
I originally come from the Island of Lewis and I have been married to Neil for over 30 years. We have 2 children and 1 grandchild.
My hobbies are keep fit, gardening, reading and until fairly recently tap dancing.
In the summer we spend a lot of our spare time in the garden where we have nest boxes sited. One day while relaxing in the garden I though it would be interesting to see what goes on inside a nest box. That was when our 'other hobby' took off. Neil and I make nest boxes with miniature cameras installed – actually Neil makes the boxes with the cameras and my job is to paint them.
We sell our nest boxes on the internet and our website is
www.birdcam.co.uk . We enjoy our hobby and communicate with people from all over the world including the United Kingdom who tell us of their successes with the nest boxes.
