Mike White - Personal Profile
Michael was born in North Wales and on leaving school he joined the Merchant Navy, where he served as a Deck Officer for five years.
On leaving the sea he joined the Fire Brigade, initially in Hampshire and then transferred to the West Midlands Fire Brigade where he worked around the Wolverhampton and Walsall areas, covering risks such as the M6 motorway and major industrial locations. All of his time was spent on operational duties except for two years spent in Equipment Research & Development in Headquarters.
Latterly, he has worked in Caithness and on gaining promotion, was transferred to Lochaber in September 2003.
